In July 2017 I weighed myself. I was at my heaviest that I have ever been, 130 Kg's
After speaking to Mike from Fit 2 run he helped with a treadmill to kick start my weight loss journey.
I started by walking everyday at a brisk pace to get my heart rate up. I gradually picked up the pace after a week and just started increasing the speed and distance. I challenged myself everyday to beat my previous days distance and time.
I started in the middle of August and since then, (3 months or 12 weeks) I have lost 23 Kg's and i am still losing weight.
From not being active to running in the Auckland marathon. My only words of advice are to start small and gradually chip away at it. I couldn't walk for more than 10 minutes without stopping. I can now run 6 km in 45 min
I completed the 5km run in the auckland marathon in 33 min.
